Los Angeles, June 2024 – Get ready to dust off your air guitars! Sony Pictures has confirmed The Wedding Singer 2, a long-awaited sequel to the 1998 rom-com classic, will hit theaters in summer 2025. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are set to reprise their iconic roles as Robbie Hart and Julia Sullivan, this time navigating midlife matrimony mayhem.
Insiders reveal the plot follows Robbie, now a Vegas wedding chapel legend, scrambling to plan his own wedding after Julia finally says yes. Chaos ensues with cameos from Post Malone (as a rogue crooner), Steve Buscemi (returning as the unhinged best man), and a show-stopping ’80s-mashup soundtrack.
Director Frank Coraci teased, “It’s bigger, louder, and 100% more llama.” Early footage shown at CinemaCon featured Sandler belting a power-ballad cover of Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers”—while Barrymore’s Julia threatens to elope.

Fans can expect nostalgia, slapstick, and a Glow-inspired dance battle. Tagline? “Holy matrimony, here we go again!”
Release Date: July 4, 2025. Rating: PG-13 (for “excessive air-keytar solos”).
